We've got ourselves a STAKE!!

Today was our "Stake" conference for church. (Hannah asked if we go to church and eat steak the whole time...mmmmm! I wish!) We had a combined meeting with the Carrollton, Lewisville, and Denton Stakes at the Coliseum at North Texas University. In all there were about 6,000 North Texas Saints there! WOW! And that's just those who attended! We had Elder Sheldon F. Childs and Elder Dickson from the 70 there and it was "an historic occasion." The Frisco, Texas stake is officially the newest stake in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And we are stake # 2,800. They took our 6 Frisco wards, 2 wards from The Colony, and one Little Elm ward to comprise our stake. Pretty Exciting!! We kept our stake President, Pres. Roberts- as he is now in the Frisco Stake boundaries. There is so much growth here in No. Texas, and so many faithful members! We love it here... we really do. Now we just need a Stake Center-- I hope it's in the works!
