Did you read to the bottom?

For those of you faithful blog readers, if you read to the bottom of my last post, you would have seen an announcement...
Yes, in a matter of 6 months, we will have 6 kids. We are expecting baby #6... due in early December!! Hoping for a late November baby as we already have 2 December birthdays... It's all very exciting and overwhelming at the same time. I'm beginning to feel a little bit better, it's been a loooong 2 months!
We have our way in-depth 3-D ultrasound and perinatologist visit on June 8th. Since I've had a child with a chromosome abnormality, I have been considered high risk since Hannah... so I get a little extra attention. With my pregnancy with Bauer, I had this ultrasound at 12 weeks, 3 days- and they told me I was having a BOY. That early. They said, "Do you want to know what you're having?" I replied, "If you already can tell--- it's another BOY!!!" And we have baby boy Bauer, but we couldn't love him more!!!
So here's hoping that they CAN'T see ANYTHING between those legs this time around! Hannah's dying for a baby sister... so's her momma! Most of all, we're hoping for a healthy baby, one that will complete our family... for good!

Two Mischievious kids...

After a trip to Costco, I was unloading the back of the burb and came out to find Barrett up to NO GOOD! And yes, he wears a bathing suit most of the time in hopes that I'll take him to the pool...

This is what I found in my bathtub the other night...

And here's the culprit:

Funny Bauer!

Teaching the art of bike riding...

To our 7 year old AND our very athletic & ambitious 3 year old.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! She would throw her head back, take her feet off the pedals, and stop. Dad's exasperated!! (but look at those pecs and the gun show... ow baby!!)

Look at Barrett's face- there is no happier feeling for this kid!

Oops! Everyone's gotta crash sometime!

Ready, Set, GO!!
Yeah Barrett... Hannah's cheering on her bike riding partner!

Hey- who's that!? The professional who's trained 6 kids to ride a bike...

Thanks for helping Papa!

Good job kids!

Girl's Weekend

We decided at our family reunion last summer that it was time to establish a "girl's weekend" tradition since we do have 8 of us girls in the family now... I volunteered to be the first one to host in my hometown. Over memorial weekend 6 of the girls came to town (missed you Lacy and Tristan!!) and we headed south to San Antonio. It was a blast... here's some pics from the fabulous weekend!!!
These are "Sisters" Brighton bracelets that my mom bought us. They are so pretty and we all just loved them! Thanks mom!!!

Eating breakfast on the riverwalk

Just posing on the riverwalk... it was so pretty!

Up top on the Tower of the Americas-- it was a great view!

After we went to the top of the tower, we went to a 4-D show on Texas. I've got a few things to say about that... First off- TEXAS PRIDE! Holy cow! I've never lived in a place that was SOOOO full of pride for their state. I mean, I love it and all, but WOW! Second... I don't think any of us knew that 4-D meant that we'd get wet, poked in the back (through the seat), snakes at our feet... it was pretty funny. We pretty much screamed the whole time. And lastly-- look at these crazy girls! I particularly love how ABSOLUTELY carefree and CRAZY my sister in law Michele gets on trips. I saw it when we went on our Alaskan Cruise, and again this weekend. She's a mom of 6- and when she gets out without the kids, she is ready to PARTY all night long! It is so funny and I just love that about her... and Whitney is right there and game for everything too-- they are just such fun sisters... no "in-law" necessary... we just have a great time together and I learn so much from all these women!

We went to a dueling piano bar to celebrate my mom's birthday. It was very entertaining. (note Michele again!) Especially when they called my mom up on the stage (thanks for the tip-off Megs!) to do the chicken dance!!! She was mortified... but such a good sport. And because I love her and am so grateful for her-- I won't post those pics on here for y'all to see. (email me privately, I'll send them on...) ha ha. Love ya mom!!
All in all, it was such a fun weekend. And despite 3 pregos, 1 oldie (mom did have a bday!), and 2 crazy, kidless girls... we partied like rockstars!!!

In front of the Alamo Sunday morning before we left. Can't wait for next year girl's! Who's planning it?!

Happy Anniversary Baby...

13 years-- wow, have I really been married that long? YEP! And it's been so wonderful! Here's to many more years to come!!!
This was my Anniversary Card from Bill this year- excuse some of the nudity references... and by the way, we DO NOT fight naked. How well do you know me?
13TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY EDITON: WHY BILL AND JULIE ARE STILL SO IN LOVE AFTER BEING MARRIED FOR 13 YEARS!

10. Date nights (They love the time together, even though they just talk about their kids.)
9. Bill let's Julie think she wears the pants in the family!
8. Julie really does wear the pants, although she will allow Bill to take them off her from time to time! (Oh Yeah baby)
7. Communication: Learning the meaning of what "Go close and lock the door" and "I'm tired" means.
6. How Bill will offer Julie body massages and enjoys cuddling with no strings attached.
5. Not true, Bill has not been successful once in 13 years with offering body massages and cuddling with no strings attached.
4. On road trips Bill will drive, even though he has no idea where he is going.
3. True, Bill has no idea where he is going but Bill doesn't have to deal with the kids on their long car ride family vacation trips to California and Utah.
2. Fighting naked! (Apparently Julie and Bill disagree quite often and enjoy this concept of fighting naked, as they have been blessed with 5 beautiful children and 1 on the way!) WOW 6 KIDS! ARE YOU SERIOUS!
1. And the #1 reason why Bill and Julie are still so in love after being married for 13 years is: Bill's love for Julie is eternal and without end. Bill honors her as the amazing Mother she is to their children and his love for her, as his wife of 13 years, has only grown stronger as the years have passed.
Happy 13th Anniversary!=I Love You=From Billy

Baby's first haircut...

So after our girl's weekend, Aunt Megs stayed for one extra day. And even though she SWORE she wasn't cutting hair all weekend (she needed a break after working 80 hours to take the time off for girl's weekend!), I talked her into ONE VERY IMPORTANT haircut...

I just couldn't wait until the next time we saw her--- his hair would have been to his shoulders and curly!!!

Didn't he grow up in a matter of minutes? He looks so much older now---

but oh so cute! Love you baby Bauer!!!

Blogs that inspire...

So, I am guilty of reading quite a few blogs... (and that's why I can't join facebook!) many of them are health related, some are just for fun. These are just a few of the blogs/websites that inspire me and draw me to their readership daily:
Yep, that's all health related... I'll share some more creative/fun blogs when I get a chance!
