Mr. Smily Face

So, he's been smiling for a few weeks now- but I have yet to post a picture... but we have the cutest, roly poly, smiling 10 week old ever! Bauer is getting cuter and chubbier (12 lbs. at 2 months!) by the day. These pics are 2 weeks old- he's even more of smiling pro now! Just thought I'd share a snapshot or three of the guy that makes us smile.

Brock is such a good big brother!

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeessssse!!!

More broken bones...

Yes, the broken bone fairy has struck again... this time w/ Brock. He broke his wrist. And he'll tell you he broke it playing football- but don't be fooled! He really broke it playing hopscotch in the backyard. But we let him say football because that sounds so much more "manly!" We were out on a date- yahoo- and he fell w/ a babysitter here. He was so nice and waited until we got home to tell us. We took him to urgent care and they said it was just a sprained wrist. But 3 days of pain and throbbing later, a re-xray showed a break right at the growth plate. He's in a cast for 3 weeks and then it should be healed. Relatively minor compared to the last break (Hannah's leg!), but a break, none-the-less! It's always exciting around here!!!

Hannah's Bday & Party!

Yes- it's been a while since I've posted! Life here is crazy, let me tell ya! Between sick kids, broken bones, birthdays and sports- there just isn't enough time in the day!
Hannah turned 6 on April 21st. She's officially "car seat free!" WOO HOO!! (now I only have 2 in carseats! :) She had a great birthday. She got an ipod (yes, a 6 year old w/ an ipod... best thing I ever bought her! She loves dancing and singing her own music!), some new clothes, some swimming attire, shoes, a doll, and more clothes! She is truly a spoiled princess!

Her birthday party was this past Saturday. It was so fun. We waited until Aunt Megan was here visiting as we did a princess party, complete w/ up-do's, makeup, and pedicures. It was a blast. She was able to invite 6 friends for the festivities. We had a great time!

Happy Birthday sweet princess Hannah!! We love you!

General Conference Weekend

Hunter's Drawing:

Brock's Drawing:

A picture says a thousand words!!!
Really though, we had a great weekend and spent most of it at home in front of the T.V. watching our church's Semiannual General Conference. It was sooooo good. I especially appreciated Elder M. Russell Ballard's talk--it spoke to me. And can I just say I LOVE our prophet? The mantle has settled so beautifully on his shoulders... he is so awesome! I am thankful for modern day revelation!!!

That's it!!!!!!! No more kids.

So Target Pharmacy has this really cool system: identify who's medication is who's with their colored rings. My color is green, Hannah's is purple (there was no pink!), Brock's is orange, Hunter's blue, Barrett's is yellow, and Bill's WAS red. I say WAS because he is now kicked out of the colored rings club and is now a "no ringer." We have exhausted all their colors. They only have 6. I mean, come on... don't they know that lots of (crazy) people have more than 4 kids? Seriously... it's a good thing Bill rarely gets sick, cuz Bauer just took over Red.

"I wanted a 'play' mom"

So the good news is, my Peekaboobaby business has picked up big time! I am constantly sewing nursing covers, burp cloths, blankets, etc. (IN MY FREE TIME! ha ha). Which is so exciting because I really love it- and it helps out with finances. The bad news is, Hannah wanted a 'play mom' and she doesn't have one. Here's how I found out:

Hannah: "mom, can you PLEASE stop sewing and play with me?"
Me: "Hannah, I have 2 more orders I have to sew and then I have to feed Bauer, make dinner, and get ready for Hunter's baseball game. Go play with Barrett."
Hannah: "but you NEVER play with me mom!"
Me: "I'm sorry Hannah- that's why you have brothers."
Hannah: "But brothers don't want to play house and dolls, I wish I had a sister."
Me: "Me too."
Hannah: "Or a mom who played with me. You're a 'busy' mom and I wanted a 'play' mom.

At which point I turned off my sewing machine and asked her what she wanted to play. Within 5 minutes, Bauer was crying and needed to be fed- I tried to play and feed, but she wasn't feeling it. I guess I am just a 'busy' mom.

Blessing Bauer & a fun weekend...

Well, we had a great weekend. It was a crazy, busy full weekend, but a great one none-the-less!! Both sets of grandparents flew into town on Friday afternoon and we started the party then... did a little shopping at the Outlet Malls and out to dinner for some yummy Texas BBQ @ Pappa's in Dallas.
Saturday morning was Hunter's baseball game. He was so proud to have 4 grandparents there to cheer him on! He did great!

We played and ate and played and ate through the rest of the day and just really had a great time.
Sunday was Bauer's blessing. True to newborn baby fashion, he was in all his baby acne glory- AND wouldn't "pose" for a great shot, but we tried anyways! My awesome cousin Jordan and his wife and darling baby girl came up from Austin for the blessing. It was a wonderful day. Bill gave Bauer a beautiful blessing and kept his name the same-- he'd been threatening me all morning that he was going to change it! ha ha. real funny.

So here's our attempt at a family shot... it was so bright and everyone's eyes are half closed.

And then I just had to post these "kids only" pics because they describe my life perfectly... CHAOS!!! Not a single decent pic! AHHHHHH!

But I do have to say, I love my family. Love each and everyone of these cute kids in their own special way. They are truly a gift from Heaven above! Thank you to our family and friends who travelled far to be here for Bauer's special day.
