Thank you to all my loyal blog readers (all 7 of you)... you were heard!! THE CPSC has granted a stay of execution!!! They are extending the date of what we call "National Bankruptcy Day" for one entire year. They will be taking that time to re-evaluate the law and re-vote on it... which gives us SO MUCH TIME to make our voices heard even stronger! This is just fantastic. Aren't you so glad you came to my blog today? Doesn't this just make your heart warm?! It does mine!
p.s. the bad news: no huge sales... I can deal with that!

they're going to be gone soon... every cool or unique toy out there will be taken off store shelves and prohibited from being sold on ebay, craig's list, etc. on FEBRUARY 10, 2009. It's also called National Bankruptcy Day. So many home businesses and larger businesses will go under and close their doors because they can't afford to test their products for ridiculous lead levels. I am even supposed to get my nursing covers, blankets, and burpcloths tested.
Excuse me? Where is there lead in fabric? Testing costs between $400-$1,000+ PER ITEM. I've got 16 fabrics, that's $16,000... JUST for the nursing covers alone. Nevermind the burpees and blankets. It's ridiculous... Read more about it at National Bankruptcy Day or sign the petition here. Please, if you want to have any variety in the clothes you buy for your children, the toys they put on their wish lists, etc. Tell the government about it!!!
Otherwise we'll all be closing our doors in less than 2 weeks and won't be able to SELL anymore products publicly! And I'll just have to "give" y'all stuff from my collection, if ya know what I mean. PLEASE HELP!!!!
p.s. take advantage of stores trying to empty their shelves before 2/10... there will probably be some pretty good sales as they will have to pull everything off their shelves and send them back to the manufacturer on that dreadful day!
