Hair Cut Day!!

It happens once every other month- more often if I'm really on top of things... (which rarely happens!)  But I must say, I am getting pretty good at cutting these boys' hair!  Megs, you'd be proud!

I didn't get a "before" pic of Hunter... he was hiding.  Didn't want me to cut off his lovely locks.
But here's the after... I think I did a good job!  Left it longer than I usually do...
Brock was getting "poofy" as we call it...
Now he's slick and cool:
Silly long haired "widow's peak" Barrett-
Still got the peak, just looks better!
Yes, we did cut off all Bauer's curls. Don't worry, they're in a ziploc bag-- and they'll grow back (i hope!).
He looks like a different kid, but still so handsome!
And this was Dayne's FIRST haircut!!!  His hair was getting too long on top to spike...
Brock took pictures of the process... don't mind my jammies!

Beauty is painful...  And again, those eyes-- not edited.  They're his!  Don't know where he got 'em, but they're his!  :)

All in all, it was a success.  And I even got a clean bathroom out of the whole ordeal!

Hunter's Football Season

Hunter had a great season playing football for his 7th grade middle school team.  He was on the "A" team and loved it!  He played both directions (offense- guard and defense-tackle) for many of the games.  Despite a minor concussion in the first game (kept him out for a week) and breaking his foot 3 weeks before football was over-- he still only managed to miss 2 games and finished the season playing in the last football game and doing great!  He was super aggressive and always one of the first to hustle in and out-- hard work pays off!

I didn't get many pics of him playing as it was quite a far away shot (even with my zoom!)... but here's a few I did get!  Proud of you Hunter!  Can't wait until next year!

Walking off the field after last game
Hunter & Adam (fellow deacon @ church on opposing team)
Handsome kid!  Getting way too old!
 Walking to the bus
Go SEAHAWKS!!  Next year we'll have a 7th grader and 8th grader playing football!
Better get me a tshirt!

Basketball started last week and he made the team-- first game this Thurs!

Santa Claus-- early?

When Hannah and her friend came home today they walked up and said, "Hey- you look like Santa Claus!"
Didn't realize I was dressed in full costume until they said that! (for the record, I didn't leave the house except to take Barrett to preschool...)
Thanks girls-- I am going to assume it's because of the outfit and not the large belly.  :)

Halloween 2010

Trunk or Treat on Friday, Oct. 29 @ church

Yes, he is a sumo wrestler, and yes, he is wearing tennis shoes... :)

Tough motorcycle dude and his little alien...
The best I could get before he tore it off.
Joker-- make up done by Hunter.
 buddies
Halloween afternoon- all dressed up in costume to give out candy to the trick or treaters!  With Halloween being on Sunday this year, our kids "trick or treat" opportunity was on Friday night at our ward party.  On Sunday night, they dressed up and answered our door to see their friends all dressed up.  We had yummy treats and just had a "quiet" Halloween-- if there is such a thing!
Notice the costume change?  Barrett wanted to be Woody this time-

And Bauer was in full character as Buzz... see following photos for proof.

 Blast off!

 Love the goggles!
The full gang- from Toy Story-- but we're missing Bullseye!

 No alien head mom!!!

 Darling Jessie
Grammy and Woody & "Bat Buzz"
 Sumo turned murderer.

Sweet dreams everyone!
