Hannah's Birthday Party

So this year we decided to do a "cooking themed" birthday party. Here's the invites:Cute little chef's hats.

Grammy Sivley came to town just in time for the big party!! She was a huge help! Hannah invited 7 friends since she was turning 7- plus one bonus since we just couldn't leave a friend out... she has too many cute little girlfriends! I made aprons for them as their party favors. They were a big hit!

The girls made their own pizzas and had to eat them with crazy kitchen utensils that they pulled out of a bag.

They also got to decorate their very own mini bundt cakes and eat them. They turned out really cute and REALLY sugary!

Hannah got lots of very nice gifts from her friends... HappyBirthday Hannah! Party's OVER!!!

It was a nice day... rained in the morning, but cleared up enough to have our little hunt. Our friends (family here!), the Copelands came over for dinner and we enjoyed some good food and company! Happy Easter!

Hannah's egg-- to Celebrate Jesus, she said. Brock replied: "Hannah, we don't celebrate HOW Jesus died, we celebrate His life. I mean, if I died in a car accident, would you have pictures of the car in our house or the car hanging around your neck? I don't think so!!!" (wow- that's serious perspective, he said he came up with it himself! Now I know what to say to all my baptist friends who ask why I don't wear crosses! Thanks Brock!!)

School boy wannabee...

Everyday when the kids leave for school, Barrett wants to go with them. Just this last Wednesday, he was all ready to go after family prayer.

So we let him walk to the corner w/ the kids as long as he promised to come back!!


Like a good boy, he did........

But he wasn't very happy about it!!

A few more years buddy! Boy will he be happy to go to pre-school in the fall! Me too!!

Gone Private in a hurry!

Sorry bout that! I think someone hacked into my blog. If any of you saw a post entitled "Eeyore is cute!", you saw it! I don't know who or how, but really it was the kick in the pants I needed to make it private. I've been thinking of doing it for a while now. The only thing that bugs is that it will only allow 100 readers on private setting... so that kinda limits me. I'm a popular girl, you know?! HA HA. Just kidding. Maybe I'll make it public in a few months again- once whoever thinks "eeyore is cute" decides my life isn't all that exciting!!

Woke the kids up on the intercom with this:

"EVERYBODY WAKE UP! YOU'RE NOT GOING TO SCHOOL TODAY- WE'RE GOING TO SIX FLAGS!! WOO HOO! GET YOUR CLOTHES ON AND BE DOWNSTAIRS IN 10!"

Which elicited a very fast and cheerful wakeup, complete with hugs, cheering, and celebration.

You don't wanna know what happened next. I went from really popular mom to the bottom of the barrell really fast.

Wait until they bite into their PB&J sandwiches with a piece of paper in the middle that says, "GOTCHA!!!"
